System Shock is set in the cyberpunk future of 2072, and the events of the game take place entirely within the confines of Citadel Station as a solitary hacker, controlled by the player, attempts to thwart the machinations of the station's delusional artificial intelligence. An updated version of the game, named System Shock: Enhanced Edition, was released via Gog.com on September 22, 2015. System Shock is a first-person horror RPG created by Looking Glass Studios (then known as Looking Glass Technologies), and published by Origin Systems.
